So many of our childhood memories get lost as we grow up, but you have brought a precious one back, and I have tears rolling down my face. As a young person of about 8 or 9rs I used to gently push my face into low-hanging branches of white cherry-blossom perfection, and it would be like the softest billowing, most beautifully scented cloud-pillow embracing my face. It was so comforting...thank you :)
Not gonna lie, this is absolultely stunning and beautifully shot. Capturing the most essential part of Japan, I could be watching this for weeks. Thank you :)
In some ways this made me think of Akira Kurosawa's great film 'Dreams', and especially the vignette with the peach blossoms and the young boy. The beauty of the cherry blossoms here strongly reminded me of the beauty, and the transitory nature of our individual lives, no matter how rich or poor. Our lives are passing, and all our plans. But the wonder is that we're here at all.
A recent illness has made me more aware than ever of speed with which our lives go by. With a sickness, your 'normal' life is called into question about what that even means. Now I'm well, but the memory of being sick lingers. Now I don't think of things as permanent, but fragile and all the more precious. Your videos are wonderful. Thanks for posting this.
